Taradeau is a Provençal village of 2,000 inhabitants nestled in the Argens plain, at the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation. Surrounded by vineyards producing acclaimed rosés, the village is crowned by a Gallo-Roman oppidum and a medieval tower that testify to several millennia of human settlement in this fertile valley.
Its location between the Maures massif to the south, the Canjuers plateau to the north and the Argens plain makes it an ideal base for exploring inland Var: Gorges du Verdon (1h), the Maures massif, perched hill villages of the upper Var, and the beaches of the Esterel and Saint-Tropez Gulf (30–45 min).

The Gorges du Verdon (1h), Lac de Sainte-Croix for kayaking and swimming, and the Canjuers plateau (military base with approved hiking trails) add to the options. The beaches of the Saint-Tropez Gulf (Cavalaire, La Croix-Valmer) are 40 minutes away.
