On which websites is my vacation home listed and available for booking?
Your listing will be published on Casabooking.com, as well as on 40 other booking platforms, including Booking.com, Expedia, VRBO, Abritel, and Airbnb.
How do I list my property for rent?
As soon as we have more information about your vacation rental, one of our seasonal rental experts will contact you to develop a tailored strategy to optimize your income based on your needs and expectations, provide you with a rental income estimate, and finalize your registration.
How can I track my bookings after listing my vacation home for rent?
You can track your bookings and earnings from anywhere through our mobile app for property owners. Whenever a new booking is made, you will receive a notification with the dates, the amount paid by the tenant, and the net amount that will be transferred to you after commission.
You will have real-time access to your calendar and can block dates for your personal stays. Our app also allows you to track all communications with travelers for complete transparency.
What is the commission fee I will have to pay?
Our marketing commission is 10% VAT included on rental income (in addition to the commission charged by partner platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and Abritel, which typically take 18% VAT included or slightly more).
Can I continue to rent out my property myself?
CasaBooking manages properties exclusively, but as the owner, you remain in control. Enjoy your home whenever you wish—we focus on maximizing your rental income when it’s available. Of course, you can block the weeks you need for your personal use.
Can I continue using my current concierge service?
Our role is to help you find and oversee reliable partners to ensure efficient management of your property. However, if you already have a trusted setup and reliable partners, that’s perfect. In that case, we focus on supporting them by providing access to our app, managing security deposits, and ensuring smooth communication with travelers by delivering all necessary information at the right time, according to your needs.
Can I personally handle the property preparation and guest check-in?
We have long known that the most effective concierges are often the owners themselves. If you have the ability to manage on-site, that’s ideal. Our role is to fully support you by providing access to our app, handling security deposits, and ensuring smooth communication with travelers by delivering all necessary information at the right time and according to your needs.
What mandatory steps must be taken before I can start renting?
Request a registration number; even though some municipalities do not yet require it, it will become mandatory everywhere by 2026.
When will I receive the rental payment?
We are a small agency and currently process rental payments manually on a monthly basis, within the first five days of the month. However, we are working towards implementing an automated payment system by 2026, which will allow payments to be made for each booking one week before the guests’ arrival.
Do I need to confirm each booking?
No, we work with an instant booking system that doesn’t require confirmation from you.
What is CasaBooking’s cancellation policy?
We have put in place favorable cancellation conditions to guarantee your income in case of a late cancellation by a traveler. Here’s how it works:
If the cancellation occurs less than 7 days before arrival, you will receive 100% of the rental amount, regardless of the booking platform.
If the cancellation occurs between 7 and 30 days before arrival, for Airbnb bookings, you will receive 50% of the rental amount. For all other platforms (Booking, VRBO, Expedia, etc.), you will receive 100% of the rental amount.
Thanks to these rules, you are protected against last-minute cancellations and can anticipate your income with peace of mind.
What are the typical check-in and check-out times?
The standard check-in time is usually between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, while the check-out time is typically at 10:00 AM. Please refer to the specific property details on our website for the exact check-in and check-out times.
